Doctoral Positions

University of Salerno – Department of Industrial Engineering

[Chemical Engineering]

The Department of Industrial Engineering (DIIN) at the University of Salerno (http://www.diin.unisa.it) promotes higher education and research and development in the areas of chemical, electronic and mechanical engineering.

The University of Salerno is one of the top universities in southern Italy, with its campus featuring modern buildings and state-of-the-art facilities for teaching, research and student life. It ranks 351—400th in World University Rankings 2020 according to Times Higher Education World University Ranking.

The DIIN currently offers several opportunities for doctoral studies in Industrial Engineering, in the area of Chemical Engineering, in collaboration with ProdAl scarl, through sharing competencies and equipment:

  1. A.    Scholarships funded by University, reserved for foreign students with a foreign Master Degree (Ph.D. Program in Industrial Engineering):
  • Nonthermal technologies for the sanitization and/or transformation of food);

 

  1. B.     "Dottorato Executive" position, hired with fixed-term contract by ProdAl scarl, within the frame of the EU project AccelWater (958266) (Ph.D. Program in Innovative Engineering Technologies for Industrial Sustainability):
  • Sustainable and innovative strategies for the reduction of water and energy consumption and the valorization of processing waste in the food industry.

 

All the Doctoral Students will be enrolled for a period of 36 months, starting from November 2020.

The position funded by the University will grant the standard Italian Doctoral fellowship of about 1200 Euro per month (net), together with free tuition fees, and free accommodation and canteen access during the 3 years of the Ph.D. program.

The “Dottorato Executive” position will grant a salary of about 1300 Euro per month (net), together with free tuition fees.
