The dialogue between scientific excellence and production efficiency

At the conclusion of the training programme “The Dialogue between Scientific Excellence and Production Efficiency”, ProdAl organised a round table discussion dedicated to an in-depth reflection on the key components of innovation.

The initiative provided an opportunity for shared discussion on strategic issues such as territorial economic planning at national and international levels, research and technology transfer, training as a tool for the dissemination of new skills, business environments oriented towards change, innovation support services, and access to venture capital as a driver of growth.

The meeting brought together the main stakeholders of the innovation system, fostering open and multidisciplinary dialogue. Representatives of Public Administration illustrated the development policies promoted by the Campania Region within the framework of the Lisbon Strategy; the academic community highlighted its role in training new professional profiles and strengthening the link between universities and the labour market. ProdAl, in its dual role as a research and training centre, presented the results achieved and the concrete applications of its activities within the productive sector. Companies shared experiences, challenges and best practices related to innovation processes, while the scholarship holders involved in the training programme testified to how education can represent a true driver of change for the future of the agri-food sector.

The round table confirmed that innovation, research and training are essential elements for strengthening business competitiveness and supporting the development of the agri-food sector. Through dialogue among institutions, universities, companies and research centres, ProdAl reaffirms its role as a reference point for technology transfer and sustainable growth, promoting collaborative models that combine scientific excellence with production efficiency.

The workshop was structured into five sessions, consistent with the organisation of the specialised phase of the training programme. In each session, the coordinator and one or more participants took the floor, with the aim of sharing concrete experiences and highlighting the results of the programme through first-hand testimonies.
