Through initiatives promoted by the Campania Region for Regional Competence Centers (CRdC) and its constant presence in prestigious global forums, the Center pursues three key goals:

  • High-Level Networking: Building strong bridges with foreign universities, technology parks, and industrial players.
  • Open Innovation: Engaging with global trends to import and export cutting-edge visions within the agrifood sector.

Major World and European Congresses

  • IUFoST (International Union of Food Science and Technology): The reference world congress to align on major global challenges (sustainability, safety, and food waste reduction).
  • EFFoST (European Federation of Food Science and Technology): The heart of the European debate, ideal for identifying new trends and EU research consortia.
  • World Congress on Electroporation: The benchmark event for emerging, non-thermal technologies, where ProdAl showcases its cutting-edge expertise in Pulsed Electric Fields (PEF).

 

Specialized Workshops and Food Engineering Summits

  • IFT-EFFoST International Nonthermal Processing Workshop: An elite event co-organized by the sector’s two largest institutions. ProdAl’s continuous participation—including hosting one of its editions—highlights its leadership in non-thermal food processing.
  • COFE (Conference of Food Engineering): A symposium focused on food process engineering, ideal for presenting pilot plants and mass/heat transfer models.
  • International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management (Thessaloniki, Corfu, Chania – Greece): Consistent participation across the 8th, 9th, and 10th editions of this summit to showcase innovative solutions in circular economy and industrial waste management.
  • Il Filo Rosso del Pomodoro (Parma – Italy): A key vertical event focused on protecting and promoting the Made in Italy agrifood sector, spanning strategic infrastructure and processing technologies.

  • CiCytac (Congreso Internacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia de los Alimentos): A strategic scientific platform for exchanging know-how with academic and industrial excellence across the Hispanic and Latin American regions.
  • Sochital (Sociedad Chilena de Tecnologia de Alimentos): Congresses serving as an open innovation bridge to consolidate scientific collaborations in the South Pacific area.
  • NAFI (International Conference on New Approaches in Food Industry): A network focused on frontier technologies, perfect for tech scouting and launching new research partnerships.
  • Innovative development of food, light and hospitality industry (Almaty Technological University – Kazakhstan): An international scientific and practical conference that allowed ProdAl to expand its technology transfer scope toward Central Asian markets.
  • Sonicsfoodstech (Dublin – Ireland): A specialized summit dedicated to ultrasound applications in the food industry, a technological segment where ProdAl develops advanced solutions.

As part of its internationalization roadmap, ProdAl has taken part in key transcontinental missions aimed at securing technology cooperation agreements.

The Italy-China Axis: Food Safety and Bilateral Cooperation

At the SIEE (Sino-Italian Exchange Event), ProdAl joined the dedicated food safety and health industry section:

  • Standards and Sustainability: Focus on adopting shared safety standards and reducing environmental impact in food production.
  • Advanced Tech: Promotion of innovative solutions for food preservation and processing.
  • Institutional Channels: Establishing strategic links with Chinese Technology Parks and authorities for future joint research.

 

On the occasion of the Zhejiang-Italy S&T Innovation Forum, ProdAl attended the section dedicated to technology transfer and the modernization of agri-food systems:

  • Industrial Synergies: Focus on the co-development of technological solutions applied to production chains and the valorization of functional ingredients.
  • Digitalization and Processes: Promotion of innovative tools for the optimization and monitoring of industrial transformation processes.
  • Innovation Hubs: Activation of strategic relationships with technological districts and enterprises in the Zhejiang Province for future research internationalization projects.

 

NAFTA Mission (Canada): Technology Transfer in North America

Missions across Montreal, Toronto, and Quebec City successfully combined institutional relations with vertical activities tailored to the Center’s core business:

  • B2B Meetings: Presenting ProdAl’s technology portfolio to North American stakeholders to lay the groundwork for industrial partnerships.
  • Scientific Excellence: Participating in the Conference on Global Food Security (McGill University) and meeting the Food Science Department (University of Guelph) in Toronto to spark high-level scientific exchanges on protecting and globalizing local food heritage.
